Dad, and Mum, loved horses and particularly their Jump racing and we spent many a day out at Wincanton and Cheltenham together choosing winners by marking them on our race card. A few years ago Dad and I went to Colin Tizzards Open day where we got to see all his runners. As luck would have it at that time Colin Tizzard had both Cue Card and Native River in training who were both at the top of their game and had a big following. That season Native River won both the Welsh Grand National and the Cheltenham Gold Cup, and one of my favourite memories is of Dad having a chat with him in his stable.
